That’s over 5 YEARS or 1838 sleeps to date… every single night in our vans, since leaving our brick home back in 2017 🚍
😍 we embraced simplicity and life on wheels, consciously unplugging from it all to hit the road on 12th Dec 2017 - from a snowy sub zero Suffolk, UK. For us it’s been the ultimate move, leading to so many opportunities, we never imagined when we first set off!
ℹ️ we’re throwing you some fun info and a few stats for this time, right here:
⛽️ 11,407 litres of diesel - coins spent £17,205 or € 19,269 🤑
🗺️ driven 53,185 miles or 85,096 km
Averaging 22 mpg 👍
🛣️ coins spent on vignettes & toll charges £478.20 or €535.58
…. for us toll roads are avoided as much as possible - we see and experience so much more this way 💯
📍 27 counties plus 4 Greeks islands… where to next? Your guess is as good as ours 😜
⛺️ accommodation - 9% Campgrounds Parks, 89% Free Parkups, 2% paid parking.
🚍 3 different vans… from a 4.3t motorhome to a 7.5t race truck, with a 5t 4x4 self build right there in the mix 🛠️
🐾 2 puppies rescued and raised on the road… you got it, we reckon our newest crew member is for keeps… update’s on the way 🫶
🏡 we‘ve NO house on the side to rent out or fall back on when shit goes south - we’re super independent, resourceful and learned to muddle through one way or another!
📦 we’ve NO storage unit with furnishings waiting for us and never have - when we decided to cut ties with the house we didn’t mess about 💪
💰 when we left house life behind - we handed back the keys to our rented home, hitting the road with zero savings to our names - since cutting those ties, we’ve worked damn hard to build the life we choose and love 🙌

For anyone thinking of travelling with their family… go do it, slow right down, enjoy time together and soak up your surroundings!… this lifestyle truly has changed us, put things in perspective big time and made us closer than ever as a family…. 100% it can be tough at times - one things for sure, the simple life really makes us happy 👌
🚐 💨 our travels are ongoing for who knows how long… with 2 kids, 2 dogs, 1 puppy and a Topsy cat in tow, there’s gonna be plenty of adventures ahead of us! Keep watching & ask us any questions you like 👍
